Hello future brides! Your best wedding memories start here
Congratulations on your impending nuptials. This is such an exciting time and the energy is infectious to me. You have said the most important ‘I do’ and soon you’ll be saying ‘Up do’. I’m going to make your second most important wedding decision an easy one, choosing your wedding hairstylist.
There’s so much more to bridal hair than styling, something I have learned from specialising in this area in recent years. Your best wedding memories start here.
There are a few factors to consider before deciding on a bridal hairstyle so I invite you to browse the rest of this page where you can consider your face shape, hair quality, dress and even the likely weather on your wedding day. All of this will be discussed at your trial in more detail.
This is an in-depth consultation about the styles you are considering. Do you want classic or contemporary, half-up-half-down, the chignon, boho waves or a halo braid with flower crown? We’ll discuss your hair type, length and volume and your dress, to get an idea of the most suitable and complementary hairstyles.
I will then prepare your hair and try out your chosen style. Afterwards, I’ll show you photos from multiple angles and you can decide whether it’s for you or not.
On the morning of your wedding, let your hair down and leave it in my capable hands. I love nothing more than bringing our co-creation to life on your big day. This is the time for you and your bridal party to relax and utterly indulge.

Great hair doesn’t happen by chance; it happens by appointment
Create height and fullness at the crown, not the sides. Off centre parting. Hair should fall lower than the jaw.
Slick back or straightened fringe.
Create volume/width at the sides not the crown. Slick back styles, with side-parting. Half up, half down styles. Asymmetric style.
Tight curls on top of crown. Anything long which lengthens the face.
Lucky you – take your pick. Most styles will work with this shape. Best style is off your face.
Hair in your face, hiding those great features!
Add softness. Messy curls, layers and wisps.
Avoid anything tight and straight.
What style is your dress ?
Classic or simple
You can choose a more dramatic hairstyle.
Ballgown, full of detail or sparkles
Consider something elegant, structured and simple.
Curls, Ponytail or Braid to the side to show off a dress with a low back.
What weather is most likely ?
Hot and humid: Recommend wearing hair up in a secure style. No worrying about your hair frizzing or sticking to your back. Works best for extremely windy conditions too.
Autumn, winter or spring
Cool or Cold: Most hairstyles will work. Think Hollywood Waves, Chunky Braids or Boho Chic.
HOW LONG & VOLUMEOUS IS YOUR HAIR ?
This is the most important question to ask yourself bride-to-be. It’s easy to find and fall in love with the most stunning style from Instagram or Pinterest. In reality, is your hair long enough and voluminous enough to pull it off?
If you have your heart set on a particular style but your natural hair needs help, I would always recommend Great Lengths hair extensions. They are perfect for adding length and volume. The pre-bonded extensions also last between 3-5 months so will see you through your honeymoon!
